In ANSYS Workbench, it is not possible to regenerate the original geometry from a mesh directly. However, you can try the following workaround to reconstruct the geometry from the mesh:
- In ANSYS Workbench, create a new project and add a Structural analysis system to the project.
- In the Project Schematic panel, right-click the Mesh node and select “Export Mesh”.
- In the “Export Mesh” dialog, select “ANSYS Neutral File (*.neu)” as the file type, and browse to the location where you want to save the exported mesh file.
- Click “OK” to export the mesh.
- In ANSYS DesignModeler, create a new blank model and import the exported mesh file using the “Import Mesh” feature.
- In ANSYS DesignModeler, use the “Surface Extraction” tool to extract the surfaces of the mesh. You can then use these surfaces to recreate the geometry of the original model.
